AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) covers the ways of communicating for people who cannot speak or speak unclearly - symbol boards, ready sentences and speech synthesis that speaks for the user.
System Sensor AAC communicators combine this with hands-free access: by eye (Tobii and EyeControl), head movement (gyroscopic mouse), touch, breath or a single switch. So a person with quadriplegia, ALS or after a stroke can talk, call a caregiver, write and use the internet.
