🧠 What is the System Sensor PIC communicator for?

System Sensor PIC is a communicator for people with a motor disability or a limited ability to speak, who have difficulty communicating with the people around them every day. Its main purpose is to make communication with caregivers, family or medical staff simple, fast and easy to understand.

With the communicator the user can:

• express needs (for example "I want to drink", "I am tired"),
• call for help (for example by triggering an alarm),
• edit his or her own AAC boards and communication cards.
• control home equipment - a TV set, a set-top box or other IR devices.

🛠️ How does the communicator work?

The communicator is based on AAC boards - sets of cards (buttons), each of which can carry out a given task. Every card can:

• play a recorded sound,
• speak a message through the speech synthesizer,
• send a signal to a TV set, a set-top box or another IR device,
• work with Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.

For example: a "Help" board can contain an "Alarm" card which, when pressed, plays a sound, speaks a voice message and sends an IR signal.

⚙️ Adjusting the device to the user's needs

System Sensor PIC lets you create and edit your own boards and cards - they can be fully customized to the individual needs of the user. The configuration options include, among others:

• boards with everyday messages,
• alarm boards,
• boards for controlling devices,
• housekeeping boards (for example a "clear the text field" card).

System Sensor PIC was designed for people who are very weak physically - people who tire quickly and have limited control over their movements. It works very well for:

• people with quadriplegia,

• bedridden and elderly people,
• patients with advanced ALS and related conditions,
• children with developmental disorders,
• people undergoing neurological rehabilitation.

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) means the methods and technologies that let people communicate when they cannot speak or have serious difficulty speaking. System Sensor PIC is a specialized AAC communicator, designed for people who are non-speaking, bedridden or have a profound motor disability.

Thanks to AAC the user can:

• express needs and build sentences using AAC boards,
• use the speech synthesizer,
• operate the communicator with the eyes (Tobii) or with sensors,
• take an active part in family life, education and society.
